Under The Fire Safety Order all staff must receive fire safety training this is not intended to turn staff into firefighters but is to ensure that if a fire is discovered they know how to act in the appropriate manner to ensure their safety as well as other employees.
In the case of a fire, using a well maintained Fire Extinguisher can make a difference between a minor incident and a costly full scale disaster. It is a legal requirement to have extinguishers serviced yearly and maintained by a competent engineer.Suitable fire protection is an insurance requirement.Extinguishers provide essential protection for all staff and visitors.
